On Solihull Radio today Emma Sithole shared how The Recovery Foundation came about from her own journey through mental illness. In 2007 she was diagnosed with Schizo-Affective Disorder and needed several hospital stays before she was able to be treated at home. Not only was she unwell, but she also felt hopeless. Life became about surviving from one day to the next. Today, things are very different. She is no longer on a cocktail of medication and no longer held in chains by her mental illness. She is recovering and helping others to do the same... and is now also the co-founder of BE:Mag, a duo of mental health magazines for adult and children.

She tells us how HOPE is the key to recovery.
