In 2011 my boyfriend (now husband) and I were blessed to visit Varanasi, the holiest city in India. It has a very magical and spiritual vibe, especially when sitting on a rowing boat in the middle of the River Ganges to watch the sunset followed by a Ganga Aarti ceremony. At dusk the Ganga Aarti ceremony is performed by a number of priests, it is a light and flower festival and it happens every single day at the Hindu Temple on the River Ganges. TUESDAY TALKING TOOLS… KINDNESS… AND TURNING SOCIAL MEDIA OFF FOR A WHILE!

This morning I woke up and before I got out of bed I made the mistake of taking a quick look on Facebook as I had some notifications. There were so many posts steeped in passive aggression and lacking kindness. So much judgement and little empathy. What happened to understanding we are all individuals, we all are making decisions based on our own experiences, fears and struggles. Be kind always. …and the kindest thing I did for myself today was hit “unfollow” and switch social media off for a while. Always makes a positive difference. Have a lovely day ❤️
